A gorgeous and fun game, if short. Even if I'm not particularly quick it, whipping around and delivering flowers was such a charming experience! I think if this were to be revisited, some structured challenges would be in order, but I'm happy coming back to run some petals every now and again to this day!
I would love to try this game but, the graphics options are being forced to maximum and the framerate is horrible as a result.
The game's graphics options don't change anything when I try. I also manually set my desktop to a lower resolution and refresh rate before launching, no dice. I have an RX 6700XT, so quite capable, but unoptimized Unity project at 1440p with 8x MSAA and a full post-processing stack will tank just about any machine.
Hey, thanks for tryin' it out! <3 I will say, you can scroll down the options and click "Apply", I didn't make this terribly obvious so that's on me. I apologize!
I read some of the other comments and I can't sum up the improvements any better than Ruby did.
What I can say is this is an amazing job! I really hope you continue and develop it. It really has a lot of character and is cozy. After I played it. I just wandered around the world to enjoy it.
Before I give any critique, I will say that the game is very cozy and enjoyable and, honestly, pretty impressive for your first completed project. I do very well see a future for this and the potential for future games as a whole if you choose to stick with game development. The few issues I had mostly came down to pacing, with me wanting to move faster than what was allowed. Speed preservation via jumping or wall running would be nice, or you could implement a maximum speed cap based on how much momentum you've gathered to incentivize chaining movements together. Also, it's most likely a bug, but deploying the grappling hook seems to halt all momentum you've had to the point it can brake you from falling mid-air. I also encountered occasional frame drops, but they didn't bother me too much.
That said, great work. I look forward to seeing what you have planned in the future.
